Bangladesh have never won a single match against South Africa on South African soil. So the odds are against Bangladesh. This is Bangladesh’s 4th tour of South Africa and this time they are touring South Africa after a period of only 4 years compared to a 10 year gap between the previous tours.

Bangladesh clinched the ODI series 2-1. Their first ODI series win in South Africa. Ahistoric moment for the Bengal Tigers. Taskin Ahmed was named player of the series for his brilliant bowling throughout the series.

South Africa whitewashed Bangladesh in the test series winning both matches by a huge margin. Keshav Maharaj was named player of the series as he scored 108 runs and took 16 wickets in the2-match test series.
