The Asia Cup 2022 was the 15th edition of the Asia Cup tournament. United Arab Emirates were the host of this edition of Asia Cup. Initially, Sri Lanka had the hosting rights but due to the growing uncertainty in the Island, Asia Cup was moved to the UAE. All matches started at 6 pm (Gulf Standard Time).
Six teams are divided into two groups. Top two teams of each group will move to the super four round and go against each other. The top two teams in the super four faced each other in the much anticipated final on 11th September 2022.
The final was held between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Sri Lanka emerged victorious in thefinal and won their 6th Asia Cup crown. Wanindu Hasaranga was declared as the player of the tournament.
